The Ties That Bind (2001) ... Wallhanging
Tulia's first-time attempt at "embellishing" a quilt top resulted in this one-of-a-kind wallhanging (better photos are in the works):
- Sixteen 14"x14" blocks;
- 160 discarded men's ties used for fabric;
- each block contains 10 pieces of fabric with no piece of fabric used more than once;
- floss, buttons, sequins, etc, used for embellishment.

Ties That Bind #17
An original "Tulia creation"; one of several "crazy quilt" blocks which are part of the "Ties That Bind" series.
Discarded men's ties were used for this design, with no fewer than 10 distinct ties utilized in each 14"x14" block.
DMC floss and a menagerie of buttons, sequins, and other sewing paraphernalia was used to embellish the block.
